60 minutes into Bintan's wild river heart
Journey through thick mangroves along Sebung River — Bintan's living artery, home to macaques, silver leaf monkeys, kingfishers, mangrove snakes, monitor lizards, and mud lobsters. The daily night tour at 7 pm reveals a different world: fireflies dancing under a blanket of stars. Add on a fresh seafood lunch at a Kelong restaurant nestled on the river (available after 10 am).
Eco-adventure followed by a Kelong feast
The full mangrove experience — sail through the green canopy of Sebung River spotting wildlife, then be guided to the famous Kelong Seafood Restaurant perched over the river for a fresh, generous meal. Perfect for families, couples, and anyone who wants nature and food in one morning.
Darkness, stars, and bioluminescent wonder
After dark, Sebung River transforms completely. As your eyes adjust, the mangrove canopy comes alive with the gentle, pulsing glow of fireflies — a sight rarely seen outside of tropical jungles. This is the same river as the daytime tour, but shorter (snakes emerge at night deeper in the forest). The open sky above the river, studded with stars, adds another dimension to the experience.
Temples, kingdoms, and a seafood lunch
An immersive full-day journey through Bintan's layered history. Begin at the 500 Lohan Temple — 500 life-size stone arhat statues in a forest of intricate carvings — then board a pompong water taxi to Penyengat Island, seat of the Malay Kingdom, to explore golden palace ruins and royal mausoleums. Continue to Senggarang Village, the oldest Chinese settlement, with its Banyan Tree Temple and Lau Ya Keng complex. End with a seafood lunch in Tanjung Pinang and a walk through the local wet market.
The royal abode of the Riau Sultans
Penyengat Island — offshore from Tanjung Pinang — was the seat of Malay royal power. Board a pompong from the Tanjung Pinang pier to visit the Sultan of Riau's Grand Mosque, Raja Hamidah's tomb, and Fort Bukit Kursi. Return to Tanjung Pinang for a seafood lunch, then browse Bintan Indah Mall and TCC Mall for local souvenirs.
Temples, statues, and divine architecture
The quest begins at Vihara Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva (500 Lohan Temple). Journey to Senggarang Island to walk through a fisherman village and Chinese temples, then enjoy seafood lunch with shopping at Bintan Indah Mall and TCC Mall. The grand finale: Vihara Avalokitesvara Graha — home to one of the tallest gold-coated Goddess of Mercy statues in Southeast Asia, surrounded by dragon motifs in every architectural element.

Standing 340 metres above sea level, Gunung Bintan is the island's tallest summit. The trek passes through rich tropical forest to a 360-degree panorama of the entire island — ocean, lagoons, and resort coastlines laid out below. Suitable for all fitness levels with an experienced guide.

Aboard a speedboat, hop between the small islands surrounding Lagoi Bay to discover secluded beaches, hidden coves, and secret lagoons invisible from shore. Bintan hides a surprise: the Sand Dunes of Busung — a genuine desert landscape next to a vivid Blue Lake, located along Jalan Raya Busung near Tanjung Uban. All tours are priced for a minimum of 2 people. Solo travellers pay the 2-person rate — this covers your private guide and dedicated transfer. Kids aged 3–11 qualify for a child rate; children under 3 join free.
Tours are non-refundable once confirmed, so we recommend locking in your dates only when your plans are set. The one exception: cycling tours can be rescheduled for free if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead.
Bintan's weather is mostly sunny, but tropical showers happen. Tours aren't refunded for weather events — though operators will do their best to offer you an alternative date where possible.
Two-way transfers are included for guests staying within the Bintan Resorts area. Staying elsewhere? Just make your own way to the meeting point — your guide will confirm the exact location before the tour.
